3D AUDIO HEADPHONE COMPANY RAISES $3.2 MILLION IN FUNDS AND DISAPPEARS WITH THE MONEY!
Have you heard gave your hard earned money up for something and you ended up not getting the product you paid for? Well in this case thousands and thousands of people will not get the product OR their money refunded!!
Ossic, the start up 3D Audio Headphone company, launched their crowdfunding (kick-starter) campaigns back in late 2016 and was confirmed to have reached $3.2 million dollars to develop and sell the headphones that claim to be perfect for virtual reality (VR). The company received over 22,000 pre-orders for the headphones, so, where are they?!!
Fast Forward to 2018, and the start-up recently revealed that they’ll be shutting down their company. With no reason of why they’ll be shutting down, the worst part of it all is that the hard working people won’t be able to get the headphones they paid for nor get refund for the money they put up. An Ossic representative claims to have shipped the first step of headphones to backers in the $999 developer tier back in January 2018 but in spite of the statement, only 250 headphones were created and shipped out to a hand full of the backers, according to EDM Sauce.
A class-action lawsuit will be filed by the backers and we hope everyone gets their money back.
It sucks when people try to take advantage of you.
Story is still developing… Stay tuned.
