A couple’s big day is something they have planned or at least have thought about for a very long time. This is the most beautiful and one of the most important days of their lives and everything has to be perfect. One thing that is a make or break for any wedding is the music, and more importantly the DJ.
Some important rules to abide by when dealing with a DJ on your big day are:
1. Your choice in DJ.
Be happy with your choice of DJ because the big day is days away and its to late!!
2. Have a backbone.
Don’t forget to remind him/her that the wedding is your day and that you do have guidelines for the night. It’s okay to be assertive as long as it is in a kind fashion, which brings us to our next point.
3. Be nice.
Nobody likes a bridezilla, especially being mean to the one in charge of making your first dance memorable, so do everyone a favor and be kind. Remember that this person is here to make your day the best, and being nice always goes a long way.
4. Have songs ready.
Have a playlist of songs that you want to be played during the night ready, so that when the DJ does ask for your suggestions, you are already good to go and won’t be scrambling through radio stations looking for songs to dance to. This list should actually be provided to the Dj way ahead of the event.
5. Relax and dance.
This one is obvious because this is a wedding and it is supposed to be fun, and at the end of the day, after you follow these rules, there is nothing else to do besides drink some champagne and dance the night away.
