CAN YOU BELIEVE POPULAR FURNITURE RETAILER ‘IKEA’ WILL RELEASE NEW LINE OF PARTY & DJ EQUIPMENT?
Swedish afforable retailer, IKEA, announces that they’ll be releasing a line of party and DJ equipment, according to Pitchfolk. IKEA wants to fill that void of impromptu house parties, and you creating the vibes of your very own rave in the comfort of your own home.
Partnering with Teenage Engineering, a Swedish consumer electronics company founded in 2005, makes really small synthesizers that’ll be called FREKVENS. The line will also consist of party spotlights (with/without strobe light ability, we don’t know yet), vinyl record turntables, and electronic choir.
So tell a couple of your friends to come over, buy some drinks, food and be sure to create this best playlist, because your party is going to be one to remember!
According to the press release, IKEA states “We know that for younger people spontaneity is key. The idea of gathering some friends could become a reality in minutes,” said Michael Nikolic, IKEA’s Range & Supply Creative Leader. ” What is then needed at home? Or maybe you want to bring along the party somewhere else? Together with Teenage Engineering we want to explore the possibilities of bringing the party with you and what else you need for a great party.” Okay, sure!
The line will be available worldwide in the beginning of February 2019.
