Celebrities from different parts of the entertainment industry seem to always venture off into the beauty industry. From pop star and fashionista Rihanna creating Fenty Beauty to Demi Lovato teaming up NYC Cosmetics to create Lovatics by Demi, we weren’t surprised when we heard yet another entertainer wants some success in that line of work.
Amy Noonan aka Qveen Herby, formerly of the duo Karmin, and DJ/producer Audrey Napoleon decided to team up to create their own line titled, Qveen Studio.
It wasn’t too far-fetched knowing that they as soon as you take a look at their social media pages, you know they’re heavily involved organically with make up.
Forbes interviewed the two ladies why they decided to start a make up line.
Steve Baltin: What was the impetus for starting the cosmetic line?
Amy Noonan (Qveen Herby): I have friends who are musicians 24/7, but I get bored. I have to do other things. Financially it’s tough, you can make a living if you’re really hustling, but even the big stars are starting makeup lines. Look at Rihanna.
Audrey Napoleon: It’s also about building a brand.
