DJ DIESEL SAYS THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD GIVE UP MORE MONEY FOR MORE COPS, IN LIEU OF PARKLAND SHOOTING [VIDEO]
People from all around the United States are in heavy discussion about gun violence, especially children. In this case, a very public NBA figure Shaquille O’Neal is speaking out about the proposal to curb gun violence in lue of the Parkland shooting, at Douglas High School, which killed 14 children, 3 adults, while wounding 14 others.
NBA legend Shaq aka DJ Diesel how lives just a few miles away from Parkland, Fl., says he believes that banning guns isn’t the answer for school shootings, its more law enforcement. As well as what it could do if guns are banned.
“The only problem with that is, there’s 15 million of ’em out there already on the streets,” Shaq told WABC Radio’s Curtis and Cosby show this past Tuesday. “And then another problem is if you ban ’em, then you gonna create an underground market, and the gun collectors, you know, it’s gonna become more valuable.”
“…you’re going to have people underground and they were $2,000… I’ll give you $9,000 for that gun.”
Just in case you don’t know, Diesel is not only a NBA legend and Hall of famer, but has a PhD, is an open format Deejay “DJ Diesel”, and is a part of some law enforcement agencies.
He also said, “The government should give law enforcement more money. Give more money, you recruit more people and the guys that are not ready to go on the streets, you put them in front of the schools,” Shaq explained. “You put ’em in front of the schools; you put ’em behind the schools, you put ’em inside the schools.”
