EDM HEAVY WEIGHTS TIESTO, ZEDD, STEVE AOKI, AND KASKADE RAISE OVER #1 MILLION FOR LAS VEGAS VICTIMS
Last month’s tragedy in Las Vegas made celebrity DJs who roll through Vegas to enjoy the nightlife along with their own events want to donate and help out the great people of Las Vegas. Oct 1st, a resident of Las Vegas killed 58 people and injured 500 at a country music concert.
Tuesday November 7th, EDM heavyweights such as Kaskade, Steve Aoki, NGHTMRE, Party Favor, Zedd, and Tiesto hosted a night of raising tons of money for the Las Vegas Victims Fund at Omnia at Caesars Palace. Many celebrities like legendary singer Céline Dion performed “My Heart Will Go On” with Steve Aoki on stage. The surprise guest performances and Hakkasan ended up raising $1 million from the event.
Major Lazer’s Diplo and Tiesto each pledged $100,000 to the cause.
Tiesto says “Las Vegas has become like a home to me, it’s an incredible city filled with great people and after last week’s tragedy, I immediately wanted to help in supporting the victims, their families, and the amazing first responders. In addition to direct donations that I have pledged, it was also extremely important to me that I perform to raise as much as possible I’m thrilled to team up with Hakkasan Group and the other artists performing for this special event at OMNIA in Las Vegas.”
100% of the proceeds goes directly towards helping the victims and the cause.
